Faith Formation

Educational Goals supporting Faith Formation at Nativity include:

• Knowing and practicing the Catholic Faith and Values. 
• Gaining an understanding of the Catholic Social Teachings.

Kindergarten – 2nd Grade

• We are special because God made us.
• Introduction to the miracles and parables of Jesus.
• Preparation for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion in 2nd grade.

3rd Grade - 5th Grade

• Gain a deeper understanding of the Ten Commandments and the Beatitudes.
• Introduction to the seven sacraments.
• Introduction to Catholic Social Teachings.

6th Grade - 8th Grade

• Old and New Testament Scripture study.
• Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation.
• Emphasis on prayer, discipleship, morality and social justice as we live out our faith in today’s world.
